Favorite "Wings" Clips and Episodes

Before I became a diehard Raymond fanatic, I was a huge fan of Wings, starring Tim Daly, Steven Weber, Crystal Bernard, David Schramm, Rebecca Schull, Tony Shalhoub and Thomas Haden Church. For those of you who are not familiar with Wings, the show takes place on Nantucket Island where Joe Hackett (Tim Daly) and his brother Brian (Steven Weber) run a small one plane commuter airline. The show was created by the producers and writers of "Cheers". The series originally aired from 1990-1997.

I started watching the show because I thought Tim Daly was so sexy and cute. I still do in fact. But, in addition to the good looks, the show was incredibly funny and I watched it every week.

This first episode is called Insanity Claus I am posting the entire episode in three different parts. Someone just uploaded this video on Christmas Eve, and Youtube sometimes pulls these videos after a few days, so who knows how long it will be available.

This next one is a clip from one of my favorite episodes! This is a clip from Sports and Leisure (Season One).

After ruining the gang's fishing trip, killjoy Roy asks Joe for tips on how to make more friends. He gets a chance to test his new skills at the group's weekly "Trivial Pursuit" game at Helen's house. But for Roy, playing nice may be harder than it looks.

Here's a clip from Das Plane (Season Three)

Joe's flying high when he learns the ticket he donated to a children's hospital charity event raised $10,000. But his mood begins its descent when Brian's misprint on the ticket forces him to fly Carlton Blanchard on a cross-country trip for a reunion with his brother....

Apparently the last line of the episode was cut out of this video. Carlton says "Hey, wait a minute! This isn't Daddy's watch. And come to think of it, Milford doesn't have red hair....... maybe it WAS Las Cruces!"

Clip from Murder She Roast (Season Two)


When Brian stays at Faye's temporarily, he relishes in her home cooked meals and hospitality.... until he watches a fugitive-at-large TV show and sees the "Culinary Killer", a serial murderer who bears a striking resemblance to his hostess. When Faye plans his farewell dinner,  he asks Joe and Helen to join him for what may be his last supper.

I loved "Wings" too.  I agree, Tim Daly is a hottie.  I have to admit I always thought Lowell/Thomas Haden Church was hot, especially with his long hair...

Two of my favorites were 1) when Brian sunk Lowell's house-boat and he came to live with them; and 2) the "Phantom of the Oprah" episode.

You're welcome Paul! I'm happy you enjoyed the video clips. Yeah, Wings brings back a lot of memories for me too. They still air Wings on TVLand sometimes, and also on Nick at Night. I bought seasons 1-4 on DVD. I'm not sure if they have released the later seasons yet, but if they have I plan on buying them too!

Yes, I really liked Lowell. I always thought if I couldn't have Joe (Tim Daly) I'd gladly settle for Lowell.

Hey Chrissi! Yep, that's Monk! haha. Tony Shalhoub appeared in a lot of the Wings episodes. He was a regular of the show.

Did you watch the other video clips? They aren't the entire episode, but they are all very funny. "The Bogey Men" and "Sports and Leisure" are two of my favorite episodes of the series. I'll try to find some more Wings episodes and clips for you!

Did you ever see "Ned and Stacy"?? It was the pre"Will and Grace" and HEELARIOUS...unfortunately they were too PC and never went gay. If they had I bet it would have been a hit. Thomas Haden Church was so funny! (Stacy in that show was the same actress that played Grace)

I am familiar with all these episodes. They are all very funny. I believe Marriage American Style and Divorce American Style are from Season Three and I've Got A Secret is from Season Four. I'm not sure though. I believe I have all these episodes on my Wings DVDs, so they are definately from the earlier seasons. I only have the first 4 Seasons on DVD thus far.

I'm happy there are other Wings fans here at BetterMost. I was a huge Wings fan before Everybody Loves Raymond started. And I love to watch all the reruns on Nick At Night.

I loved the TV show Wings! 

All three of the male stars were hotties!    But I loved al the characters.  Even cranky Roy  LOL. 

"Murder she Roasts" was one of my many favorite episodes.   Fay as a serial killer! 

I know, David!! Faye was hysterical in that episode!!

great!  I have not watched TV for a long time, but when I did, I loved watching 'Wings.'  I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the shows I enjoyed on TV back when I watched it and this one was one of the best.  I always liked that Tim Daly and Steve Weber looked like brothers: it was brilliant casting.
