I think the quality goes a lot to the low budget it was shot on. I am still amazed. Makes me think "hell I can make a movie...not".  ;D

Today, Class, since this is The Culture Tent,
we will now discuss the comparisons between the ecstasy of Trevor Wright in the gay surfer movie, Shelter--

and--

the Ecstasy (or the Transverberation) of St Teresa by Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini--

So--can anyone here able make the connection??

(I don't know about you, but Trevor Wright Transverberates me!)

Next, we will discuss the comparisons with Brad Rowe and the Angel with the Blazing Arrow.

I love Art!

Damn JMMG, you are good! I thought maybe that thing around his neck might be a St. Teresa metal, if there is such a thing.

Hey, we are serious Art Dudes!

Look again at the figure of the Angel with the Flaming Arrow in the Bernini grouping, and compare the relationships between the Angel, the Arrow, and St. Teresa--

with the linear, angular and vectoral relationships between Brad, his, uh, hand, and St.--I mean, Trevor:

(Never mind Brad's Angelic smile--and the eyes!)
It's not coincidence, it's Art, I tell you!
