Awww, he's sweet!

Who do you think is the best actor in Hollywood at the moment? (male or female)
Odette Yustman

That's his girlfriend--that's loyal! and:

  • Those were the days, Alberta 2007.
I have a few thoughts about Zach and Shaun jumping out of bed wearing boxer shorts when Gabe arrives.

The tendency is to react: "oh that is so ridicules, why would they be wearing shorts in bed?" and I can see that. It would be much more realistic for them to be together in bed nude.

But lets take a look past that for other possibilities. Could this be interpreted as Zach's still getting comfortable with the situation? He certainly had no problem pulling Shaun's shirt off, but maybe some post coital remorse could be smoothed over by putting his shorts on, and Shaun of course would do what ever was needed to help Zach be comfortable.

Now the scene could have been shot so it would have been no issue, I think they were disappointed they ended up with an "R" Rating, like they were working to avoid that.

That's OK, I forgive you. Come on then, give us a hug!  :-*

I just saw parts of the movie on the big screen and my plasma TV is too good for the movie, it really doesn't know what to do with that poor quality image.

Sigh. American puritanism, pure and simple.

If it had been a bit more realistic, Shaun and Zach would have looked frantically for their discarded skivvies on the floor--but no.

I mean really.  :-\

I know. I had to laugh at that scene too, the first time I saw it. But then Mel pointed out that the director was going for a 'spending the whole day in bed' situation and so it would be normal for them to put at least something on when they had to get out of bed to get some food or something.
Okay, I thought, that sounds plausible, but it didn't come across very well.

And I learnt a new word today.... 'skivvies'. Nice!  ;D

Ha!

Re: "smalls," as some would say, when I first saw one of my other obsessions (don't ask, but it's the French musical, 'Les chansons d'amour') I was listening to Ludivine Sagnier singing one of the lyrics, complaining:

"Trois petites bateaux
OubliƩs par terre--"

--and I'm thinking, what, she has left three small boats on the floor??

Remember my French is poor anyway, and I have aphasia, but I really don't know anything about girls' underwear. Swear to god. Next day I'm walking along the street and I spy this shop: Petit Bateau, and Light Dawns. Panties! (Or as the Brits would say: Knickers!) Ohhhhhh! Now I get it!

Pay no mind!

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming!
