  • A love that will never grow old
 ;D

AND it was their first time together! WOW  8)  :D

Wasn't it on the dvd commentary that Brad Rowe said that he went to the food table to get some juice and nuts and that's when they filmed that part of the scene ?

Apparently he didn't know about it untill he saw the movie for the first time.

The best feature of this movie will always be the happy ending.

It is and thats why I think Artiste should see Shelter.  Not all gay movies end up sad.

We watched 'Shelter' with the eurobrokies at the Brussels gathering last week. It was nice to watch it with brokies. Lovely movie.

Yeah, it was the only movie of the weekend I didn't fall asleep half way through  (including Brokeback *blush*).

The best feature of this movie will always be the happy ending.

I agree! It was just so nice to see a movie with a happy ending - a real "feel good" movie - I think we all felt a little more cheerful for having watched it. It's certainly been on my "to watch" list since I first read about it here on Bettermost, and it certainly didn't disappoint. I'll probably write more about it another day - I'm having major problems at the moment (my laptop's died on me and I'm on my mini-laptop, which is great because I at least have a connection, but typing at length on it isn't easy).

...but, I'm cheerful nevertheless because I've just been shopping on Amazon.... :)

....the best news for Eurobrokies is that on 11 August they released a 'Shelter' Region 2 DVD, so no more hacking of DVD players to get it to play!  ;D  Yee-haw! (hmmmm....I wonder what the surfing equivalent of 'yee haw' is...? )

So i watched this during the eurobrokie weekend and just spoent a LOOOOONNNGG time reading through this thread - was just about to post about shelter now being on region 2 but see that Rachel beat me to it.

Interesting that this film is on www.play.com noted as "Gay Interest" in the title but Brokeback isn't.. wierd!

But thought you all may be interested in the other 50 + 'gay interest' films available on play.com

Gabe's "Nice shirt by the way!" comment to Zach in the diner kitchen (after Z & S were almost discovered in bed together) kinda indicates to me that he sorta guessed it was his brother's shirt.  I think he started to put 1 and 1 together at that point.  :)

Trying to catch up on the long thread, reading it from end to beginning so that I don't miss anything lol. I can't recall having seen anyone address this one yet. I believe that Gabe has already made the connection between Shaun and Zach when he makes the comment about the shirt Zach is wearing in the diner kitchen. You will notice that the shirt Zach has haphazardly thrown on upon Gabe's arrival, and the shirt that he is wearing during the kitchen scene, is the same shirt that Shaun is wearing when he answers the door and gets mauled by sex-in-the-form-of-a-Zach. I have two brothers of my own, and I know I recognize their clothes as much as they do mine.

By the way, I first watched this movie about three weeks ago and I haven't been able to stop watching it. Unfortunately I've had to watch it online, so I'm not privy to all the special commentary yet =(
