True, true, true! I barely wear other shoes during summer (except when driving, can't drive with flip flops).
First, I want to know how do you make sugared popcorn? I'm on a low-sodium diet and missing popcorn. Do you just sprinkle sugar on? Or are you talking about what we here call "caramel corn"? (carmelized with sugar).
To be honest, I don't have a clue. I looked up the German Wikipedia and it says that popcorn is either sugared or caramelized or salted. So sugared is different from caramelized. If people make popcorn at home, they usually just sprinkle sugar on it. I've tried it, but don't like it because the sugar does not adhere to the popcorn and most of it gathers at the bottom of the bowl.
If you buy popcorn it is either sweet or (rarely) salty. But I don't have a clue how popcorn machines manage it to make the whole popcorn taste sweet. Maybe you are right and they caramelizise it.
The person below me has been on a skiing vacation.
