You people all seem to live in the kind of places where I get to go on a holiday, if I'm lucky...

Not all of us people Steven! I live in Indianapolis. It's not exactly a major travel mecca; unless you like corn, cows and race cars.   

I live in an appartment from 1923, from where, sometimes, I get to enjoy lovely sunsets:

Those pictures are great. i especially love the pictures of the small pox hospital... very spooky looking. I love old spooky buildings like that! Thanks for posting them!

Heres a pic of down town calgary.  The second one is of the sunset here is calgary.  Tried to find a pic of the view of the mountains with the downtown skyline but couldn't find one.  The next on is downtown calgary.

Well, as my buddy and I drive down our small town street...

at the end of our street is a cotton field!! To the left of the cotton field is a grocery store and to the right is a hardware store.

There are also cotton fields at the other end of our street and on both sides. When I say "rural" --- I mean "rural". Now...I used to live in the country---more fields, no stores.
