And laughing and laughing and laughing...
We had a grand old time. Lisa and David were there in their black Jack Twist hats, me (the token Heathen) kept the faith with my cowboy hat bracelet. We all met right on time at noon and immediately felt like best friends.
I have to say, for anyone planning a Brokie reunion, pick a restaurant with free WiFi and have someone bring a computer (I did). The internet serves as a good ice breaker...first we watched a video on YouTube with ALL OF THE BEST SCENES slowed down to Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get it On." After that, we looked at some of David's cowboy photos. Now we are getting friendly so we look at the "What have Heath and Jake got that we ain't got" thread. We also looked at Heath, Heath, Heath and Jake Jake Jake. By now we are all laughing hysterically and decide to review some of the juicier bits of the NC17 thread. Thank God for that! LOL
We talked, we laughed, we talked some more. You'd think we'd been friends for a lifetime. Lots of talk about how a movie and "pretend" people (even though we all know Jack and Ennis aren't really pretend) can change your life.
We decide to have an extra glass of wine for dessert, laugh some more...oh, did I tell you, both David and Lisa are fanfic fans and LOVE my story so of course I was showered with adoration which made me feel really really special....
I'm telling ya folks, 3 person mini-brokie event in New England was super special and we all missed ya...
Hugs,
L
