Spoken by a non-smoker who has probably never known what it is like to try to quit........ ::) ::)

But Matt, if Kerry's good advice works, let me know....I hate the fact that I am still smoking, too.....

OMG Sue! How did you know? Am I THAT transparent? Don't answer that!

Yes, you are absolutely correct. I have NEVER smoked. Not even to try it. Never wanted to. Was never even curious to try.

Here's the Australian Quit site - http://www.quitnow.info.au/  :D

Yikes! Matt! Better you than me! I am TERRIFIED of flying! No way will I get inside a plane. I'm even nervous visiting an airport!  :o
I see people every day who would rather be on terra firma so I know it can be daunting, but whats the alternative? Cant take a bus from there to Europe? Six weeks in leaky boat? Come fly with me mate and I’ll look after you!

I believe it's very difficult to stop smoking without support and assistance. Go to the New Zealand Quit Group at http://www.quit.org.nz/page/index.php and they'll give you all the support and assistance yo need to quit.  :D
Thanks for the link,  but I think I will persevere with the book ta,

Hey Sue I will let you know how I get on this time, I have done it before. Heres the crazy thing, I hate the smell of second hand smoke, so when I was in Paris the hotel reeked of smoke, that put me off (that and the fact I had the flu) so I stopped cold turkey for 9 months. Earlier this year I hired the same book I bought and gave up for only 9 days, but this time it was virtually painless. So I figure I will be able to do it again. I will keep you updated and let you know the title of the book.

I've never had the urge to travel. Never been bitten by the travel bug. I'm a real home body. I enjoy my home and love being at home. Did some flying as a child and in my teens/twenties, but never liked it. The older I get, the less I like it. My phobia has definitely become worse since 9/11.   :'(
