Yes, the refs are casting a weird shadow on the tournament.  Well, SOME of the refs.
Thanks for the Podolski pics, Anke.

By the way Anke, my husband is about to book a flight home to Stuttgart in time for the final game thanks, in part, to your many pictures of the happy insanity in his homeland.  He's feeling very homesick in the face of it all.  He'll leave July 4, to drive home the message of which country he really loves.

Anke -

Thank you for posting the audio file of the children singing the German National Anthem! That was really cute! Actually I thought they sounded very good. Also thanks for posting all those pictures of the World Cup. I love looking at them. It is almost as good as being there! :D

Thanks again.

Oh hey! GOOD LUCK GHANA! It'd be great to have an African team in the tournament, but I kind of wish Brazil wins, 'cause then MAYBE there will be a BRAZIL-ITALY final... a revenge from 1994 for Italy?.. Hm? Yes? YES!

Spain played well. France played dirty  >:(  The yellow card the refree gave Puyol was wrong. He didn't do anything! He was pushed from behind.  >:(

The referee f *ked over the Spanish (pardon my language). There were several things he didn't call. This happened to Spain before.

That Henry guy from France deserved a red card! Aragones was pissed, and right about it.
