Hi whiteoutofthemoon and all, I've loved this whole thread about the shirts, agreeing with all thats said about their significance. I am particularly pleased with your choice of username. The smallest quote from the story upsets me, and this one is no exception. The naivety of the two uncultured, uneducated young men, so very lonely and alone, could hardly have failed to bond, given their mutual need, even if it didn't become the passionate affaire that it did! And as for seeing ourselves in Ennis or Jack, oh yes I admit to that; for Ennis's bit of pie in the diner, see me with my couple of pints a night in the pub, and my paper or book to keep the world at bay! :)
