Un ciao a tutti...
« on: July 02, 2006, 02:26:57 pm »
My dear friends,
this post is long overdue...well, life's been more than hectic for me in the past two months. Chaos at work - still not over -, lots of travelling and a partial PC breakout at home were the main reasons for my incapacitation to visit these pages and continue sharing my thoughts on BBM.
It's really the conspiracy of "never enough time, never enough" that has been chasing me recently...
But the spirit of BBM is alive and well in my heart. Was still able to catch a theatrical performance of BBM on May 14, again in Nice, France: my 8th, and probably last one. I had to chose between BBM or The Constant Gardener - which I still haven't seen - and at the last minute I decided to go again for BBM...a real force of nature. Stronger than anything else! And now that the symptoms of BBM fever have almost completely settled, I feel as if the flavour of my life has somewhat changed. Don't know exactly how the BBM alchemy acted on it, but now I feel more relaxed and at ease with all my opinions about life...my life.
Just hope time in the next months will allow me to return to these pages more frequently. For reading your thoughts, and sharing once more the emotions of this beautiful story.
Grazie e ciao a tutti,
Luigi

Luigi,

So nice to have you post here and let us know what's been going on. I sympathize, more than you know, with the "never enough time" bit. I only wish I had the same calm and ease you seem to have about your life as a result of BBM's magic.

I wish you well as you move through the summer, and do stop by and drop a line whenever you can.

Ciao friend,

Hi Luigi,
beautifully said and so true.
I actually 'discovered' BBM when I was thinking about going to see the constant gardener and looking for more information on the website beginning of january. I then remembered about a movie that won the golden lion in Venice in 2005 (there was a small piece in the newspaper). so, when I found the bbm website and saw the trailer, I was in for six very long weeks of waiting for the movie to be released here in belgium.
btw, we're spending our summer holidays in italy (le marche). Can't wait..

Ciao

Hi Luigi,

I highly recommend TCG if you get a chance to see it. Beautiful performance from Ralph Fiennes as a man hopelessly in love with a spirited woman who changes his life completely.

Will you stop playing with that radio of yours, I'm trying to get to sleep!

Ralph was a lot like Ennis don't you think? And Rachel's character was like Jack. I keep seeing the same story everywhere! I went to see "Breathless" by Jean Luc Godard last weekend. Filmed in 1960. The same two characters!! Jean Paul Belmondo played the Ennis character and Jean Seberg played Jack.

Thanks for the message on your birthday, Luigi, and I hope you had a crazy good celebration. Don't worry about not hanging around CT all the time, you are here in spirit with us, Friend.

Luigi,

Mille grazie for the update.  I'm glad to see you're still with us, because I enjoy your posts about how Italy is responding to BBM.  It's nice to know your life is more relaxed.  Hope you can visit more often!
