Love the Rockefeller ornament. Ain't it great to have ornaments that remind you of special events?

It's not really an ornament, since it's not hanging in the tree. But it's a new special Christmas decoration for me. You can't buy any western themed decoration in Germany. Not a chance in hell, zero, nada.
But I found a campfire/cooking fire! :D
It's made for nativity scenes, but to me, it's a reference to our boys. If you can't get western themed deco, you have to get creative, lol.

I put it next to my nativity scene:

Love it!

If you like them and want to show them, you could hang them into a window or on a wall, even if you're not celebrating.

I am.  Just trying to figure out a way to do it, so my cats don't think they're new dangly cat toys.  ;D

Chrissi, I love the camp fire and the Ennis' truck ornaments!

The truck is clearly visible in the picture of your tree.

(and I sense a certain IKEA touch to your book case..... 8))

Question: Shall we open a new thread, reserved for trees? We have tree pics from previous years scattered in several threads. Might be nice to have them all collected in one thread and compare different years. What do people think?

Chrissi, it would be nice to have a Christmas tree thread if you'd like.  Go for it!  8)

It's still fine to post the tree pics here, too, though.  They are covered with ornaments after all.  ;D

Solution:  I piled them in a decorative bowl!  ;D

Good thinking there. :)
For my part, I continue to hang back two or three ornaments a day. Thankfully, my cat is content with the lower branches of the tree. All the ornaments which are special to me hang in the upper branches. So far not one ornament is broken, thanks to the carpet under the tree.
