The new chapter makes me feel unsettling :(.  Posted my review under fan fiction thread.

Leslie, you are one of the most consistent writers out there when it comes to post new chapter.  Thanks lot!

Y'know, I really don't give a damn (of course I do) if they don't get their loan, as long as they're somewhere together.

The drawing is SO great...

Either I missed it, or there's not enough reference to the girls' leaving THAT NIGHT...if you don't read about them being carried downstairits, you might think Ennis was going on a business trip to Riverton...huh?

As I wrote over on ff, I have had similar reactions to loan applications--but I have a 189,000 dollar mortgage!

What IS the old guy so riled up about?

WHERE is my verschlungener STORY? (that's not German; it's a made-up word from "Mad" magazine...)

Is Ennis telling the truth when he said “Sometimes. Not too much. It hurt too much, made me sad, thinkin’ ‘bout ya so hard.”  I am thinking the “I sure wrang it out a hunderd times thinkin about you” line in the short story.

My take on that is that he made that statement in 1967, at their reunion at the Siesta motel. When "my" Ennis is saying it hurt too much, it is in the years after 1967...knowing the time between their fishing trips, missing Jack.

Thank you! I love it too. I need to find a 10 year old to draw it for me. I can picture it in my mind...

It is in the previous chapter. Ennis tells Alma (on the phone) he will have them home by suppertime on Sunday, August 15th.

I had to go take a COLD shower after that love scene.   :D

Nice touch with the bandana on the lampshade.  ;)
