I would have voted for the Brady Bunch too!  I still like that purely for the kitsch factor.  I would have voted for the Facts of Life too.

Anke -

That little mouse sounds so cute. I wish they would broadcast that show here in the U.S. I would definately watch it!  :)

Melissa - "De Zevensprong" from Holland sounds like a very cute show too!

I can't figure out any of these children's shows our kids are watching today. They don't make any sense at all.

What happened to all the innocence?   ???

I know. Sorry about that. There are all kinds of shows I didn't include in the poll. I love the kitsch factor too!   :)

Mmm..well most of those shows are a little old for me.  Need more 70's shows like the Six Million Dollar Man...one of my favourites when I was young.

lol

I remember that show. I had the biggest crush on Lee Majors when I was a teenager.  :)

YES!!!! Apollo, and Sheba, big crushes on them I had. Remember the one where there was a transmission from somewhere that no one was there to receive? Oh, the drama! I still swoon over the music and luckily I have a copy of it on a CD--call me goofy!

this is such a fun thread. Why can't you go back and add in all the shows we're all suggesting David? I guess there's things about poll making I have yet to learn...

Here are some that I loved and was addicted to growing up:

Star Trek
Laverne and Shirley (loved all those eps where the characters from Happy Days would interact with them)
Taxi
Cheers
The Cosby Show
St. Elsewhere (all these last few from the teen years)
Superfriends
Wonder Woman (such awesome theme music)
Soap
WKRP in Cinncinati
Partridge Family (they'll make you happy!)
The Brady Bunch (somehow these two always went together in my mind, shows about big families)
M*A*S*H (though I'm totally not interested in reruns)
Captain Marvel and O Mighty Isis (anyone, anyone?)
THE LOVE BOAT!!! (how has it failed to show up before now?)
The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman, classic classic classic 70's -- the ones with Sasquatch, OMG!

that's enough for one post.... thanks again David!

I ought to follow up here and report that I've been a very happy camper since I found out early last week that the first two seasons of my favorite childhood TV show, Daniel Boone, will be released on DVD on Sept. 26. I've been waiting for that day since they invented home video! Yeehaw!  ;D

Well dang me.....Daniel Boone, one of my favourites too.....i remember when i was a kid, my father shot a fox, and i got the tail and used to attach it to the back of my head, just like Daniels and Davey Crockett......trouble is, the maggotts and fly got into it, and it was one smelly little girl walking around with a tail hangin out of her head, till my mum got it and buried it........

Havent thought of that for ages, happy childhood memories..........
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection
