Thank you Meryl!! Thank you for the Lypsinka card!! I was surprise-treated today to a VERY New York meal--burgers at the Four Seasons!

Wow, that food looks divine! What is under that spun sugar (I think) thing?  Tongue

This birthday thread is so entertaining! You reminded me, I must get over to see The Crucible soon.  Cool

Belated happy birthday, John! I wished you happy birthday "over there," but forgot to say it here! Asparagus soup (?), oysters and cotton candy -- a classic birthday repast!

You had lunch with a friend, and Sia's wig?

Why is this man setting fire to a wig?

Is he a wigophobe?

Yes, the Four Seasons puts a candle in/on top--and the spun sugar was slightly warm--and much tastier than the usual 'circus' pink stuff ('cotton candy')--it's not 'on the menu', but if you tell them before hand a member of the party is having a birthday, well--there it is, just like Sia's wig!

Thank you, Katherine--yes, the asparagus soup was to die--the best!
