Yeah, Brokie-ness seems to be a permanent personality trait.  The amount of time that has passed is certainly interesting.  And, it's interesting to realize how Brokie-ness becomes woven into daily consciousness in a somewhat subtle way (at least for me) in almost all things.

The big wallops of Brokie-Fever relapse seem to strike from out of the blue... somewhat occasionally these days.  But, I welcome remembering those strong emotions.
And, I realize now, that I have Brokie-nostalgia as much as memories of the high-pitch of the main throes of Brokie fever from them early days.

I miss the compulsive urge to talk about BBM all the time (that was so real and undeniable in the first months and even years of being a Brokie).  You can't force those things though.  They just happen.  And, honestly, it's probably healthy that those phases are somewhat short-lived.

It's great to see folks dropping in again!  :-*

The odd thing is this week I was pulled back into the Brokieverse by questions from a Twenty something guy who is a friend of Dusty's. He had questions about the film "I Love You Phillip Morris" which somehow segued into a discussion of Brokeback Mtn. I ended up giving him one of my copies of the film Brokeback Mtn, and wished him a happy journey.  :)
Great story!

Once it's in your blood, you can never really leave.  ;)
I think that you are right! in fact the enduring power of the film, the ss, the commentaries, and the brokieblogosphere is amazing!

I think that is time for a re-release of the film with a director's, screenwriter's and actor's commentary embedded.

Just watched the movie again. For the first time in years I watched it alone, all by myself.
Can someone tell me why I'm putting myself through the wringer like this? Rhetoric question of course.
