Ten for Tenn Writing Project
« on: July 16, 2010, 11:50:05 am »
Here's the information about the writing project - ten minute plays to honor Tennessee Williams (or maybe just the state of TN - I'm unclear on that point).  I learned about it from a former classmate of mind who wrote, produced, and stars in a play entitled The Rambling Nut about his battle with testicular cancer....very talented (and funny!) man.

Tell you what, tho - I'm finding it a really hard thing to do!!   ::)

The theatre program at Tennessee Wesleyan College is calling for new 10 minute play scripts to be considered for production in the Ten for Tenn Festival.

Production dates are the last week of October and the first week of November. The deadline for submitting scripts for inclusion is August 31, 2010. The only requirements are as follows:

Scripts must be between 5-15 minutes long
Should be appropriate for all ages
The play or playwright should have SOME connection with Tennessee (this is VERY flexible)
Otherwise it's wide open: any kind of performance/script (solo movement to puppets and everything in-between will be considered) ENTER AS MANY SCRIPTS AS YOU WANT!
