Well, I finally watched it last week. I'm on the fence on whether it was a good or bad film. I read the comments, both good and bad at IMDB and I can see validity in either view. There are some similarities to BBM. It is about a family man who is having an extra-marital affair and is deeply conflicted about it. It does show the toll it takes on his long suffering wife. It is also very very slow, more so than BBM. It is also a very spiritual film like BBM. there are no actors, these are real people of the Mennonite community playing the roles. This has an odd effect on me. On one hand the film is very naturalistic, but the dialog and delivery seem heightened somehow. everybody speaks directly from the heart, which is somewhat unnatural, but in a good way. It seems to walk a line or balance between the real/surreal, the mundane/spiritual. I hope some else here can comment on it.
