I just love Paul's sign. (Love is love ... is love) So honest.

Very true, Roland. Paul's sign is, indeed, very honest and direct. It reminds me of something Whoopi Goldberg once said. She was being interviewed shortly after the release of the movie, The Color Purple. She said that someone had approached her at a social function to congratulate her on her role in The Color Purple. Whilst praising Whoopi's performance, the fan went on to say (something like), "I had no idea you people were capable of experiencing love - I thought you just did sex."  My heart went out to Whoopi when I heard her recounting that terrible story (I loved her in The Color Purple ) and it made me realize that lots of straight people probably think exactly the same way about gay people too - that we just do sex and are incapable of experiencing love. Paul's sign, "Love is love . . . . is love"  tells it how it is.  A big thank you to Paul!   :-*

Stirling Mortlock has a very high public profile here in Oz. In the sporting world, you can't really get much higher than  Captain of the Wallabies in this country . . . . cricket fans may not necessarily agree with me on that one.   ;)   :)   I was so thrilled to see that Stirling had involved himself in the Celebrating Diversity & Challenging Homophobia  project. Hats off to you, Stirling!   :-*   :-*  :D

I've already posted this over at the Komedy Klub (as a "feel-good" item) but I'm not exactly sure that it's the right thread for it. So I'm posting it here too. They're not holding signs, but what they're doing  speaks volumes for celebrating diversity and challenging homophobia.

I love this . . . .
