Here's something to lighten the mood . . . .

What Roland said.
These two contributions are hard stuff. They make me sad.

That's ok. Not all contributions can be lighthearted on this thread. And that's good as it is.

Had to smile about the "Notorious Drag Quen". My cousin was a drag queen (not notorious though ;D). The whole extended family was proud and said how great his performance was. Even my oh-so-catholic aunt went to the show to see him. I would have paid money to see her, lol. She's not seriously religious in the sense many Americans are religious, but still the most religious person in my family, and a bit niminy-piminy. I bet she turned beet-red, but she enjoyed it anyway.

Vanessa Wagner is notorious in that she is more of a comedian and social commentator than a serious female impersonator. She appears on television here in Oz and is well known throughout the wider community, not just on the gay scene. Her drag is very tacky - makeup applied with a trowel, unconvincing fright-wigs, over-the-top jewelry, five o'clock shadow, etc. You get the picture. Straight people here seem to love her, as witnessed by the above pic.  :D
