It really is a nice place, Deb. Quite historical, and the people around there are very friendly.
Hope you get to visit there one day.  :)

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Phew. The week started off with a drama.

Sunday night, I heard a commotion outside on the verandah, and found the cat limping.
Brought him inside, where he lay down, panting, with his tongue sticking out, and looking very sick.
At first, I thought he had had a fight with another cat, hence all the noise, but there was no obvious injury, apart from a tender back leg.
Then he staggered, like a drunkard, over to his food bowl, just looked at it and lay down on the kitchen mat, and wet himself.
By now, I thought he might have been bitten by something, but Sunday night was not a good time to try to find a vet.
So ... all I could do was keep him warm, comfort him and wait, hoping he's be ok.
He seemed to pick up, gradually, and lay in my bedroom doorway for the night.

Next morning, after dropping my car off for a service, I came home to find a red bellied black snake on the back lawn. Only about 2'6" long, but big enough to have given the cat a nasty dose of venom. Luckily, it must have only managed to inject a small quantity.

Hi Chuckie. Yes thanks. Very. Shoulder is nearly better. Only a couple more months, so the Doc says.

Hope you are well, too. (?).  :)

Latest report.

The cat is fine.  :)

The snake isn't.

(The snake is now in a pickle jar, to show Friend, when she gets back, what happened to her cat).

Actually, I hate to kill anything, even snakes, but if anything happened to the cat, I'd be the one killed.

We spent a whole weekend building a fish pond, but it attracts frogs.
They're cute, but they, in turn, attract snakes. Particularly red bellies.
And the fish just want to hide amongst the water plants, anyway, so there's not much point having a pond.
Unfortunately, the pond will have to go.  :-\

I've now bought an indoor fish tank.

Well, I can't 'dispose' of the fish as well. Or the plants.
But I'm not sure how the 2 water lilies are going to fit.

Anyone want a couple of water lilies ?  :)
