I have been neglecting this thread and I feel terrible about it, everyone posting nice things in here and I haven't responded to any of it.

I'm taking a quick break from the hospital. I can't sit in there all of the time, and both the nurses and the hospital have my cell phone number just in case Dad takes a bad turn. There's been lots of red tape concerning his hospice though. He's still in hospital at Community North at this point. He should be returning to the nursing home either tommorrow or on Monday. And then we can start this whole process. Not that I'm looking forward to it.

It's just terrible. The whole thing. Everything is a huge mess right now. I promise to keep you all posted!

David, we're thinking of you and your dad. Don't feel pressured to keep us updated in such a personal and immensly hard situation. But come here anytime if you have a break and feel like getting some hugs. We love you, we are here to listen and have plenty hugs for you.

Dad passed away at 9:30 am May 25, 2011 and he now sleeps in the sweet peace of eternity.

Thank you everyone for all of your support. You'll never know how much that meant to me.
