I am so jealous of you David.  Between now and 12/25, I have 4 of them to sing.  At this point I could sing the damn thing with my eyes closed.  I can safely say, for me, it is the most lucrative and hideously boring piece of music I know.

You are singing Handel's Messiah 4 times between now and Christmas? That's wonderful Scott!  :D

Normally I would have been disappointed with this cancellation (I normally play 1st violin) but this year they asked me to play cello. Like you,  I  could play the Messiah by heart on the violin, but I don't have the cello part memorized, and I have had very little time to practice this past month.

I love the Messiah. I could never get sick of it.  :)

The police in Florida shot a woman with rubber bullets and then stood around and laughed about it. One bullet struck her in the head.

It was terrible.  >:(

Finally saw it...think it was user error on my part.  Truly outrageous.  Talk about sociopathic behavior - Expressing joy, glee over inflicting pain on another person.

I am not implying that the woman in the red dress is guilty of anything.  Just that the police officers, who likely see the very worst of humanity, need to remember this and take a long look in the mirror.

It's just such a shame things like this still happen in the world today... especially when it happens in our own "back yard".

I just wonder how hard they would have laughed if this had happened to a gay person.  >:(

I'm not trying to develop an attitude here. I'm just wondering.

The whole thing is just a damn shame.

While it is never funny when something like this happens to another person, you are probably correct Wulfie. They would laugh harder if the person was gay.  :'(
