Saw this and thought of you David! Appropos since it is/was your birthday and you Hoosers seem to be a long lived bunch to which Gertrude can certainly attest! Bless her heart

Gertrude Shindel fits in among the team’s diehard fans with her customized Indianapolis Colts jersey and a book signed by coach Tony Dungy.
But at 110 years old, she’s also slightly older than your average fanatic. And though she’s lived in three centuries, she has never attended a Colts game.
The supercentenarian will attend her first Colts game Sunday at RCA Dome, where she will sit as a guest of Mayor Bart Peterson. The Denver Broncos (2-1) kick off against the Colts (3-0) at 4:15 p.m.
Shindel, who lives at Plainfield Health Care Center, also will be wearing a customized jersey from Morris Apparel reading “Gertrude -- #1 Fan” on the back.
Never Too Late, an Indianapolis-based group that grants wishes to residents of retirement homes, organized the event.
In February, Shindel attended a book and DVD signing by Dungy and running back Joseph Addai at the Plainfield Wal-Mart, where she said, “I think (the Colts) are wonderful. . . . I watch every game I can.”
