Hi, Karen #2!   :)  There will definitely be an Ennis/Colin scene in the next chapter.  But that's as much as I'm saying... ;)

I find Clive Owen sexy, in a really rough/rugged manly way which is not at all what I usually go for but for some reason it works for Clive.

Before I ask my question, are there any knives, forks, chain saws, band saws, letter openers or shards of glass laying around in here that someone could use to inflict bodily injury to me?

Okay.

Who is this Clive Owen person? I assume he's an actor, but I have NEVER heard of him before!

Who is he?

LOL David!! don't worry, I didn't know who he was for the longest time either...

He's in Closer, King Arthur, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Derailed, The Inside Man, just to name a few... He's a british actor.

If anyone is interested, check out his film Bent... he plays a gay man who is sent to a prison camp during the holcaust. It's sad, but very worth it. It's based on a stage play though, and you can definitely tell that in the film.

Ok, back to Shades... sorry Amy!  ::)
‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.

Yeah, personally, I'm not a big Clive fan, either.  He just doesn't ring my bell....

I sooooo love this story, and am also wondering how they are going to get back together.  Hope it's soon.... but I don't want the story to end.  So, does Jack have Ennis' cell number?  Ennis has no idea where Jack is.... sigh !
Dayum, them being apart is breaking my heart.

Another Karen - hello *waves*

This is a fab story isn't it? I know exactly what you mean. I want Ennis and Jack back together, but I really, really do not want this story to end. It has really grabbed me. I'm sure Amy can drag it to another 40 chapters or so  ;)

As for Clive Owen - he's a good actor, and I can see that he's not unattractive, but he just doesn't float my boat if you know what I mean.

I really loved this chapter, it felt very peaceful even if things are still uncertain and they are apart.

I agree.
