This is just beautiful.  As always, a wholesome, touching, romantic read.   :) I'm crying!

I won't go into detail and spoil it for those who haven't read the story yet, but I can't wait to see what happens at the "celebration."    ::) Please hurry with chapter 2.  And thanks for continuing to write for us!   ;)

Mark,

This link:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3183193/2/

which should be chapter 2, seems to be the same story as in chapter 1. Not sure what the problem is but I think it needs a fix...?

The road trip addition is just perfect.  You have a real sense of how E&J might interact, if they were allowed to be together.  Your depiction of Jack - a man so confident of Ennis' love - is aware that he can get Ennis to do his bidding, get his way just by turning on the Ole Jack charm is spot on!   ::) I can't wait to read what happens next.

Afternoon.  Just checking to see if there was an update.  Enjoyed the first chapters.  Ennis has to be pulled along into a suit, tie, shoes and all that...and Jack is doing the pulling/pushing.  Just like the two of them!  Bet Ennis will surprise Jack at some point, he always does something extraordinary without fanfare, while feeling it's nothing but the right thing to do at the time.

Please continue this.  I have read all of the other parts of your continuing story.  You brought out the best in them, dealing with adversity and separation, while working towards being together.  And then working hard together to make the good life they want and deserve, and sharing with those around them.  The Knight series was especially enjoyable.

Thanks.

I second what Janice said, Mark - that really was a lot of fun - I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading.   :)  I loved all the  'verbal sparring' and laughed out loud when Jack threw that eight of diamonds out the window.  And now Ennis can give "professional" haricuts.

Yep, I did feel like I was there.  I agree with Ennis about "plush" - the Doubletree looks just beautiful, and I can picture the boys sneaking into the pool in the middle of the night for a skinny dip.   :)

Looking forward to Chapter 4.

Thanks, Mark

Mornin'.

Well, everything I'd hoped for and more.  These two are wonderful with each other.  Ennis experiencing new things, which to Jack aren't new...he still has his Doubletree discount card!  Went to the hotel website...nice place to stay.

Scott was the perfect "barber."  Great scene.  Jack almost helpless; did they ever shave off the moustache? Good banter back and forth... with Scott pitching in at the right points.

Now, time to don the suits and shirts, and head out on the town.  Will be interesting to see them in the club that Charles at Macy's recommended.

Still need the silver, though, for the 25th.  Read the snippet in the DRABBLE thread; great start...looking forward to the full chapter.

Like how you write the narrative in the present tense.  It's like directions for a play or movie, and brings the action forward.

Did find a few things I corrected when I downloaded the chapter.  If you want, I'ld be happy to help beta for you.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the posts. Kinda left the moustache thing open.

I know I'm a terrible typist, couldn't write at all without 'Word', and there's some some typos I need to fix.

Just checking to see how things are going, and how Chapter 4 is going, and how the guys celebrated their anniversary out on the town.  Read the part you posted in the Drabble thread, and did enjoy it.

Thanks.

Evenin', Mark.

Just checking in again, about the next part of the story. Re-read several today.  Looking forward to reading about the guys out on the town in their new suits, and maybe stopping at a club recommended by Charles when they bought the suits.  Always enjoy your stories.

Thanks again.
