The Dark Knight Rises  Trailer
Teases Batman's Suffering,
More Joseph Gordon-Levitt
and Anne Hathaway

The new trailer for the upcoming Batman film offers an up-close
look at the series' new stars and Bruce Wayne's emotional arc.

In the ending, there is a new beginning.

The third trailer for Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises,  hit the web on Monday night after a day-long viral scavenger hunt campaign, and immediately proved well worth the effort fans put into finding and pasting together the clues necessary to unlock the clip.

Seemingly loosely based on Frank Miller's 1986 Batman comic limited series The Dark Knight Returns,  the film features a story that takes place eight years after the conclusion of 2008's The Dark Knight.  Christian Bale's Batman is seemingly out of commision, or at least very unprepared to face off against the psychotic menace of Bane, played by a Tom Hardy whose voice is much more clear than it was in earlier trailers.

Bane's warpath brings Gotham to its knees and puts Batman on his (broken) back, though the combination of Commisioner Gordon (Gary Oldman), Alfred (Michael Caine) and John Blake (newcomer to the series, Joseph Gordon-Levitt) believe in his return, even when all seems lost.

The trailer features Gordon-Levitt and Anne Hathaway, who plays Selina Kyle/Catwoman, quite heavily, telling a story of struggle and misplaced trust amid the crippling of a city.

The trailer will be attached to the summer's other huge superhero film, The Avengers,  when it is released this Friday; The Dark Knight Rises  hits theaters on July 20.

The trailer looks AMAZING, and its even more impressive after watching it on the big screen (The trailer is attached to the Avengers).

As absolutely amazing as I know the movie will be, it's also really bittersweet. I was just talking to my friend and I realized that this is the very last movie Heath was attached to. Weird.

No, after that, there was The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

Looks dark and angsty and depressing and it doesn't have Heath in it.

Pass.

I´m pretty hyped after having seen the trailer for it everytime I´ve gone to the cinema lately.
I´ve never been very interested in Batman himself, it´s all about the supporting actors for me . Joseph Gordon Lewitt looks great - so does Anne Hathaway. But. It will take a lot if it´s gonna be THE best superhero movie of the year. I have a sneaky feeling that Spider-Man has already outdone any competition.

No Heath, but it does have the actor who looks enough like him to be his brother, and it has Anne.  I'll take what I can get.  :(

Have you seen this?  Christian Bale near tears after seeing clips of Heath in the last movie.
