Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Thanks for the welcome back.

Well needless to say, the previous national elections did not go as I had hoped. But the Republican Party offered no strong fiscal or militarily conservative candidate. Of course, I often dread posting political references in Bettermost, knowing myself to be in a tight minority. But some people seem to appreciate an alternative viewpoint.

I am extremely grateful that the House of Representatives is now more strongly in the conservative camp and hope that the new Liberty Republican representatives can prevent our government from making a worse mess of our economy than they have managed thus far. Things I am looking forward to before the next presidential election: a complete audit of the Federal Reserve, a public accounting of any gold reserves on U.S. soil and their current owners, repeal of the NDAA and Patriot Acts I and II. Perhaps some of Obama's campaign promises from 2008 can now come true. How about closing Guantanamo. (Seriously I thought that was a Day One thing). Restore Habeas Corpus now.

And I sincerely hope that the federal government has learned that Laissez faire is far more effective than socialized government-run industries. Well, I will just have to wait and hope that the Liberty policies are eventually elected in our government, as it's in still on the high speed express towards Socialism, one of the most destructive forms of economic governance. Of course, corporatism is also destructive, as much as mercantilism once was in the 19th century. We still have not yet learned the lessons there.

As for social issues, we continue the long, awkward march towards statist-verified marriages. Seriously, what business the state has with a personal contract between two people remains to be seen. It amazes me how uncivilized statist movements have become, how anti-elegant, if such a word can be used. I can still recall, in 17th and 18th century Italy and Austria (before they were economically destroyed by warfare) the most economically free and productive states they once were, there was no such thing as a marriage license. Marriage was a private legal matter between two individuals, which the state was bound to uphold in the support of its strong Republic.

Where such things will go from now, I do not know. The past continues to remain an inspiration. When true freedom, true Republics grew and developed until they were overtaken by majority mentalities.
