I just reread this story and yeah, it's very moving and touching. I was thinking about the song 'Lost Soul' reading your story. It's by a belgian singer songwriter called Anton Walgrave, very sad and moving too  :'(

When you reach the other side boy
Will you tell me what it’s like?
You dream ‘bout light and love and shelter
Will you tell me what it’s like?

Will you reach the other side?
You’re cut adrift,maybe tonight
When you reach the other side

Lost soul

Hope you like what I have done boy
Now will you find some peace of mind?
And when you see us from a distance
Will you tell me what it’s like?

When you reach the other side
Will things get better when you hide?
on the other side

Lost soul

You can listen to it on his website: http://www.antonwalgrave.com/index.php?page=lounge

I'm going to read your other stories too Jeff. You're talented.

And yes Marie, there can never be enough 'Leslie' in any story.  :)

That is a very sweet, sad, song--and I can see the relevance to "Some Sweet Life." Thanks for sharing it--and thanks for your kind words.  :)

Oooops. I guess it's a little late for a ghost story. ...  ::)

Shows you how often I check in on this forum these days. ...  ::)

Anyway, I'm bumpin' my own thread (yeah, yeah. ...) 'cause Christmas is a-comin', and No Hero is a Christmas story.

Happy Holidays, everybody!  :D

OK, I think this is weird. I've more or less moved on from fanfiction. It served a purpose in my life at a particular time in my life, and now I've moved on. I can't even say the last time I looked at my own stories, let alone someone else's. Heck, it's been two and a half years since I even posted on this thread! And yet in the past week, I've received two favorable reviews on my stuff on fanfiction.net!  ???

  • We are all the same. Women, men, gay, straight
I had no idea that you had written BBM fan fics, Jeff.
I´m still reading fan fiction, so I´ll definately check those story out.
I mostly check Brokebackslash for fan fics, so that´s probably why haven´t seen your stuff.

Be warned: my stuff is very PG-rated.
