In conclusion, I would recommend this film to anyone, "straight" or gay, black or white, tall or short, skinny or full figuered. It just doesn't matter. This is a simple, yet intense and mesmerizing , love story for EVERYONE!

Now, that sounds better!

I'm not going to miss this one...you've persuaded me!

Well, these are not my words but a quote from someone elses review.
But i agree with the writer that this movie is worthwhile watching for everyone, unless you like lots of conversation in a movie.

And it is sweet that he's leaning in to touch him.

I don't know if he is. Might be my wishful thinking again  ;)

I think he really wanted to be closer to Max   :)

I'm finding new pictures everyday, I'm so glad people out there are still posting about this movie.  I don't know how to extract screen caps from the video, but somebody does, so that's good for us.

Thankfully, almost all the comments from viewers that I saw were positive.  "Evil" Kay, "no chemistry" (?!?!?), "ugly" - they did not see the same movie I saw.

Yes, most are positive. And we are certainly not the only ones who are a little obsessed.

The reviews: I did my best to find the really bad ones.
Freier Fall is not an average movie.
Criticism you sometimes encounter is lack of depth, little emotion etc.
People who like a lot of dialogues may be less sensitive (or not sensitive at all) to nonverbal language, atmosphere and tension between the actors without the spoken word.
Others don't like certain clichés, the open end or find that gay relationships are portrayed badly.

I love this film so much because of the acting and the chemistry between the actors, which is crucial in a movie like this.

This review was just posted on May 26.  It's in English and there are some quotes from Hanno that I hadn't seen before.

And this from Lacant about casting - I'm glad they kept looking, I can't imagine this movie without Max.

Lacant echoes these thoughts, acknowledging that it indeed “took a long time to find the right actors,” but once they were found, he couldn’t have been more pleased.

He said that Marc, as the story’s central character, was the one they initially focused on.

“We found Hanno first, and afterwards we tried him out with a lot of different Kays, and once Max Riemelt [known for 2004’s Napola: Before the Fall"> came in, the casting was just blowing our minds — already there was such an energy between these two!” Lacant said. “In the end, we knew they had to play these parts!”
