Just read about this today, and watched the trailer.....wow, it looks good.

I'm not sure I'll be seeing this one, I'm not into boxing movies.  I hated all the Rocky ones.

The "Talk of the Town" section of the July 27 New Yorker includes a small article about a visit by Jake and the writer to the gym in Manhattan where Jake trained for the movie. The writer describes Jake as standing "erect as a poplar." I think that's a wonderful image.  :)
