LESLIASONSDANGEUREUSESDONMAR By candlelight!
Ed Holcroft, Dominic West and sweet Una Stubbs (of Sherlock fame) in Les Liasons Dangereuses I
quite liked it. It was a handsome and
intimate setting. I LOVED the fact that one
can see a 'live' London broadcast (recorded)
in a New York theater--I sat only two or three
rows from the front, and I felt I was actually
in the Donmar myself! I'll be watching for
more productions like these, I think!
(Meryl came also with a friend, and I think
they enjoyed the production too. They were
lucky, the theater was only two blocks away!
Me, I hoofed it both ways--6 miles round trip--
very 18th century!)
In the meanwhile, poor Ed Holcroft did
VERY WELL INDEED with a thankless role,
and, at the end, he cried VERY TOUCHINGLY
after killing Dominic West with his rapier.
Sniff!
