My NEW Obsession--an African American Yalie cartoonist named Ngozi Ukazu from Houston, Texas (daughter of Nigerian immigrants) who writes/draws obsessionally about a collegiate hockey team (hockey team???) at a small (fictional) undergraduate college ("Samwell") in Massachusetts--





Oh yeah--May 20, 2015, her Kickstarter campaign (original $15,000 goal) successfully raised $74,290 USD with 1,577 backers. Ah-hem!



This is Eric Richard Bittle.
'Dickie' to his Mom.
'Bitty' or 'Bits' to his teammates.


Eric Bittle (known as 'Bitty') is a slight 5'-6" Frosh (then Sophomore) gay figure skater (and master baker and pie maker!) from the South (Madison, GA) who joins the Samwell hockey team (AND hockey frat) and--at the end of the second year--is

SHOCKED TO DISCOVER  :o :o :o

that Jack Zimmermann, the graduating 6'-1" hunk Senior hockey captain (graduating and going pro) from Quebec (French bilingual, son of a famous Canadian hockey star)

HAS FALLEN LOVE WITH HIM.

(Now I'm totally certifiable, right?? Or does this mean I have been a Fangurl ALL ALONG without never knowing it???)
