What is bitter, what is sweet?

(1/2) > >>

Front-Ranger:
The two were "flying in the bitter, euphoric air." Jack said they could have a "sweet life." What else was bitter, and what was sweet?

Sason:
"He pressed his face into the fabric and breathed in slowly through his mouth and nose, hoping for the faintest smoke and mountain sage and salty sweet stink of Jack but there was no real scent, only the memory of it, the imagined power of Brokeback Mountain of which nothing was left but what he held in his hands."

Front-Ranger:
What a powerful sentence. Thank you, Sonja!

Sason:
I had to check it, wasn't sure, but I did seem to remember that the word "sweet" was in the description of the (non-)smell of the shirt.

Can't think of another sentence with the word "bitter" off the top of my head though.

Penthesilea:
"I did once." The tone was bitter and accusatory.
