The Monty Hall problem is: You're on Let's Make a Deal. HOST Monty Hall shows you three doors and lets you pick one -- if it opens and there's a CAR behind, you win the car. Behind the other two doors, he says, hold GOATs. You pick Door A. Monty opens -- not Door A but Door B, revealing a goat. So there are two doors left. Should you stick with your first guess, Door A, or switch to Door C?

And for some convoluted mathematical reason, the answer is that you should switch to Door C. The reasoning is that your first guess had only a 33.3% chance of being right, but if you guess again you have a 50% chance of being right.
