Oh now I would NEVER regift something I already opened up. That's terrible!

If I receive something I suspect I may regift at a later date, I won't open the package. I will put a sticker on the box with the name of the person who gave it to me along with the date I received the gift. I will only give the gift to someone I honesty think will enjoy it. Otherwise, I will simply donate the gift to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Failing that, I will stick it in a closet and never look at it again or I'll throw it away.

You are very organised David!!! - and yes I have regifted things before - but never opened!

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

I have regifted more often than I have been regifted.  :-X

I don't think this constitutes regifting - I have at times bought something for myself, and then someone else came along who really liked it and I gave it to them as a gift.

Well, that depends.....

If you bought yourself something, and someone saw it and really liked it, and you just handed it over to them, no, that's not regifting.

If you saw that someone really liked it, and you waited until a "special occasion" and wrapped it like a new gift, then it would fall under "regifting", although since you didn't receive it as a gift in the first place, I'm not sure of that.

no, no there was no wrapping or anything as I recall.

I have regifted only a coupla times, and only if I knew that the other person would appreciate the item more than I would.  Mostly I give the item to charity.
