Uh, I think it moved...
« on: April 08, 2006, 11:38:22 pm »
Okay, so I sat down for another Brokeback Mountain viewing this evening.  Surprise, surprise, right?  And everything seemed to be going as normal... I mean, I was enjoying my moments... smiling at Jack falling into the kitchen gear... smiling at the peeing sheep... you know, same old, same old.  Except upon getting to the first tent scene, something happened.  Uh, I think it moved...

Now, now, I'm not sure what to make of this... at least not right now... it's somewhat confusing... this was not only my 30-something viewing of Brokeback Mountain, but I've seen male nudity and homoerotic sex many times throughout my life... and this was a first.  At least to the point that I am consciously aware.

I'm wondering if maybe it was just one of those things where it just happened... I know all you fellas are with me on this... sometimes that thing just has a mind of its own and it does crazy things sometimes for no reason.  Maybe it was just one of those things where it happened at that particular moment just by some strange coincidence to mess with my mind.  Or you know... maybe my running "joke" of saying that I'd be willing to have sexual intercourse with Jake Gyllenhaal finally caught up to me.  Who knows?  But I will say this... it definitely moved.

Now, don't get this weird idea... it wasn't like a full-on erection or anything... it was just... you know... giving a little bit of a response.  First time ever that has happened in this sort of scenario.  It was actually pretty comedic... I'm shoutin' at it:  "hey!  hey!  Anne Hatheway's titty scene isn't for another half hour, buddy!  cool your jets!"  Hehe, oh, I dunno.

I just thought I'd share because I thought it was rather interesting.  I'm somewhat proud of myself.  Hey!  I had a slight, not very much so, okay, it slightly moved, but hey there was a response with the gear in the situation of male-on-male nudity / intercourse moment!  Is that cool or what!?

Hahahaha... okay, sorry if you didn't want to read all of that...

ROFLOL...I'd be worried about you if it DIDN"T move! LOL...Men are so visual, so sexual...the fact that it moves when viewing male on male sex is what freaks the homophobes out so much, at least according to my 81 year old Dad, my boyfriend, my brothers and my e xperience as a nurse. Like you said honey that thing has a mind of it's own sometimes!  Thanks for the smile I needed that. ;D

Anyone else remember that episode of Seinfield when "it moves" when George is getting the massage from a man. LOL!

David T hunny, don't fret. It's normal. I get aroused by some women sometimes, it's normal for humans as sexual beings to be aroused by different things, including seeing same-sex sexual behaviour. And plus, who wouldn't be turned on by Heath & Jake/Ennis & Jack  ;D

I'm with Mandy here, David (not WITH with, but I"ll leave that one to my dreams... you, me, Jake G & a tent, Mandy..  its gonna happen, I KNOW it)..

Don't worry about it.  If you're still a young fella, its normal.  I remember that great line from Buffy, as spoken by Xander "I'm 17, thinking about linoleum makes me want to have sex"..

So watching an incredibly erotic scene between two horny young men is bound to arouse anybody, male or female - and I think it was Victoria who said it - THIS is what the homophobes are afraid of... they're afraid watching two guys is gonna make them... err... move, as you so delicately put it..

You can always borrow my playground duty cricket bat to keep it in line next time, if ya want..  ;)

That's actually where I took my subject title from, hehehe. ;D
I own all six released seasons of Seinfeld on DVD and it's on one of the seasons (I forget which one, it might be 3) and I've seen it numerous times.  Great episode.

Now, now, now, wait a second.  Now you're putting words in my mouth.  I said it moved... I wouldn't call that "aroused" ... I think I'd know if I was "aroused" -- I don't even get "aroused" by the Hatheway / Williams nudity in the film... let alone some with some minor response during the first tent scene.  I take antidepressants, Mandy... I'm lucky if hardcore porn can get a full-fledged arousal out of me.  Those things'll make you impotent like a mutha'!

And, haha, why is everything thinking I'm worried?  It's no big deal... :P  (I will take that cricket bat just 'cause, though)

Good point.. guess we leapt conclusions..

I've done time on antidepressants too, David.  Know what you mean.  I got as excited by the thought of sex during that time as I did about the idea of ironing.

You can't use that analogy anymore, I don't think, Sheyne.  Not after you discovered those hilarious Malaysian subtitles while you were ironing.  Man, you're going to associate ironing with excitement for the rest of your days! ;D

Or at least, I am...

ROFLMAO!!!!!  Yes, *blush* okay, I'll have to change it somewhat..

I got as excited by the thought of sex as I would by the thought of washing the dishes after a baked dinner for 14 people (this was me a few nights ago actually)...

You cheeky thang.. i love it...

You know, I bitch about the ironing, but deep down, after I start it and I'm watching a good movie, I don't mind it that much at all.  Probably why THAT analogy worked best for the antidepressant thing.  That's exactly what it was like.  I was okay with it, but didn't actively look forward to it.. if that makes sense??

yeah, sometimes just the idea of sex turns you on, doesn't matter who's involved. I remember seeing Sarandon and DeNeuve in The Hunger and mine moved. When it's hot, it's hot.

Absolutely.  If we're going to mention strange little jolts we got out of the blue that were out of character for ourselves...mine was Dana Scully on the X-files.

If anyone watched that show for the entire run like I did, you may remember that during the bulk of the show's run, the Dana Scully character wore the same pant suit.  That's all.  Ever.

Then one episode, she's in Africa, and she's got on an ankle length khaki skirt and she has to wade in the surf.  The skirt has a modest slit in the back and as she wades ankle high in the surf, the breeze opens her skirt and you see -  :o - her bare calves.

For some unknown reason, that sight bent me out of shape for days and I'm a strraight woman!

The more people are forced into dress restrictions, the more what is not seen becomes erotic. :P

P.S.  I dated a guy once who was on the double hammer of Lithium and prozac and while he was still interested in sex and could still perform, he couldn't get off.  That was more frustrating for him than me for obvious reasons.

I suggest you watch Bubble Boy and see what happens when Jimmy "Moves"! It is hilarious, I don't know why more people don't like Bubble Boy.

I love Bubbleboy!   It is such a light hearted, fun movie!     And Jake looks cute even with the bad haircut.   You just melt into his eyes.   :o

lol i nominate this for best post ever.

everyone has homo moments!  it's all good.  as victoria said, how could you NOT?!

that said, i've had hetero moments.  mostly involving asia argento.  but you know, they're just moments.  sometimes sensuality blurs the lines and exists on a completely universally relateable level, almost animalistic.

i think anyone could be turned on by virtually anything, it's just where emotions comes into play that defines who you are, which is ironic because it's called sexuality, when it really goes way beyond sex.

but yeah if guys were more willing to accept this and admit it and get over it, we'd have a lot less problems in the world haha

Agreed, Little.  This is absolutely wonderful.

Frankly, I think Studly needs no reassurance from me that it's totally normal.  I think you've got a decidedly excellent perspective on it, my darling.  It happens.  No biggie.  Enjoy, and move on.

But I'm so glad you shared the experience, because I got a whole heap of laughter out of it.  With you, not at you.

Anyone else feel the need to confess something?  Now's the time.
