Just a reminder of the back view Ellery was lusting after - and had to resist - as they entered the hotel room.  I wonder if Ennis was tucking in his shirt again?

SPOILER

So true!  This sentence also hit me hard:

I missed his belt buckle by inches when my hand closed on that doorknob, and I felt crazy right then – crazy to just put my hand there, pull him against me, and feel the flesh that went with the soul of the man who found it just pure common sense to say “Well I think I get that, Ellery.” I wanted to find out what it felt to make love with somebody who had some idea of the big picture, for the first time in my empty, fucked up life.

Oh, they need each other so much - and have so much to give to each other!

You are a wonder, Louise! Thank you for giving Ellery to Ennis and Ennis to Ellery! :)

Marie
well i have to agree with everything you have said marie..those are the lines that i find so unforgetable..too.  ellery and his empty fucked up life...so sad,,,so sad....

Louise is a little distracted with a phone call from the Swiss folks, so I'll post this update:

Chapter 12. The Night Before The Morning After

http://louisev.livejournal.com/187754.html

a little teaser:

Damn, boy. I knew he wanted me, but I didn’t know how much. I’d been overplayin my hand. I cast the flashlight beam around, but my mind was no longer on what I was doin – I was usin the time to just slow myself down and figure out what the hell I was gonna do when I got him home, and to try to remember what it was like to make love.

you guys, please do not come after me with brooms and pitchforks...

but I am... believe it or not, now waiting on a job offer confirmation for the original job I thought I had in Switzerland, and will need to scurry a bit to get some accommodations together in Europe while I wait for them to process a visa and work permit.  In the long term of course, this is immensely good news, but in the short term the chapters are coming out slowly.

However!  I pledged to have "What I Did On My Day Off" done tomorrow and unlocked, and Done it Will BE!

wish me luck getting my job offer.

hang on to your socks everyone... I am working on chapter 13.

Teaser title:  Cantrell Interruptus

TEASER!

I said softly “How does a grown man have such a soft face?”, and moved closer, kissing his lips as I opened my eyes to his, molten darkness in the soft light.  And he grabbed me, smotherin my mouth, his whole body unleashed like a spring set off in a mousetrap, and I was the mouse.
