Nice surprise while dogsitting
« on: January 14, 2007, 11:31:53 pm »
I've been dogsitting for a friend this cold weekend.

I had taken her and her mother to go see 'Brokeback Mountain' last January.

My friend, who likes movies, thought it was very good and deserved the Academy Award for Best Picture.  But she never really gushed over the movie or talked with me about it, even though she loves Heath.

Well, I don't visit her often, as she is a debate coach and teacher and is out of town doing tournaments most of the year.  She normally visits me, so I don't see her place often.

And to my surprise, while wandering around her place tonight, what do I see but BBM in her DVD collection!

OK, she's a Heath fan, so possibly she just got the DVD to continue her Heath collection.  So then, while I was looking through her bookshelf, what do I see but Annie Proulx's 'Close Range'!   :o

Guess the movie hit her more than she wanted to say.   :)

Nice surprise indeed.

Isn't it fun when you find out something like that?  I also get tickled when I learn someone I didn't think even saw the movie not only saw it but loved it and has since bought it.

And I'm way out of the loop, I know, but Flashframe - when does that new 2-disc set come out?  Is it still January 23, or did it get pushed back?
No more beans!
