Came across this on Amazon while wandering through Jess's Feed Store & Tack Shop:

Sounds like a lot of fun, Eric! I'll keep my eyes open for it at the bookstores (and just when we thought Brokeback-ancillary products were on the way out).

It's for sale on AMAZON.com.  I put it in my cart.  Is it worth USD 13.00?  I'm sure the book will find a nice niche market as the Deluxe BBM dvd is leaving alot unsaid.  :(

I too bought the book thru Amazon.......I'm not impressed with it.....well, not as reading material....questions in one section and answers in second section...

Might be allright for a Brokeback Trivia night, but thats about all.

I reckon, some of the people on here could have done a better job of it.

2.What was Alma's maiden name?

3.How many DVD copies of BBM were sold on teh first day of release in the US?

4.How did Ennis describe Jack's scent in the short story?

5.What song did Cassie play on the jukebox the first time she met Ennis at the honky-tonk?

I remember reading that this song actually came out in 1988, making its appearance in the film anachronistic. That itself could be a trivia question for a future edition!

I've wondered about that, but I don't really follow Steve Earle/don't know how long he's been around--and I admit I haven't done any research to try to find out if the song was "period" or not. I like it, though--the song, I mean.  :)

I tend to think of Brokies as a closed community, and when I saw who wrote it I wondered if I "knew" him.

Is there any mention of Jack having a middle name?  Just curious.

1.4 million x 20USD is pretty good for a first day sale.

I'd like a trivia question why BBM deluxe DVD didn't have directory's commentary and deleted scenes when the another Ang Lee film, Sense and Sensibility did.  :(

Of course he did.  It was used by Ennis several times.

My copy arrived finally...and the type is really big...and it's quite a slim book! Who is this Joshua Michaelmas anyway?

Methinks we need a trivia contest for BetterMost's first anniversary...

I think he is someone who wrote a very poor book, and probably made a lot of money out of it.

I think he's been a busy writer as he had two books released in December.

1) The Gay Man's Instruction Manual: Advice for a Happier, Healthier, Wealthier, Smarter and Sexier You 12/23/06

2) I Wish I Knew How to Quit You: An Unofficial Brokeback Mountain Trivia Book 12/6/06

Those are the ONLY two books he has ever written per Amazon.com.  Yes, it's too bad if it's of inferior quality as the film has been out for a year and he's had quite some time to do research. Another disappointment ???  At least they did a good job with BBM, Story to Screenplay. I got the hardcover not too long ago and it's holding up quite well.  My paperback version was "aging" very rapidly from repeated referencing.

The blurb on the back cover says that Brokeback Mountain made a tremendous impact on American theater.
