This thread is very entertaining!  What a brilliant idea this was!
I wish someone could publish all the little drabbles we've got here so far!

Cheers to all the drabblers and readers alike!   ;)

If I may be so bold ..  :P

Lazy L Farm
July 25, 2006

Ennis whistled softly as he carried the breakfast tray up the stairs.  The mouth-watering aroma of blueberry pancakes, bacon and freshly-brewed coffee filled the air.

“Wake up, sleepy head!”  Ennis called out, pushing open the bedroom door.  Jack lay still, rolled up in the bedclothes; his left leg sticking out from underneath the comforter.  He mumbled something.

“Breakfast is served.  Come on!  It’s 10a.m.!” Ennis said cheerfully, placing the tray on the bedside table.

Jack finally sat up slowly, his hair sticking out in all directions, he rubbed his eyes.  “Yer being a hard-ass Ennis del Mar.”

“Since when did being hard become so bad?” Ennis beamed.

Jack shook his head sleepily.  “Ya wore me out last night!  How many times did we ..”

“Three.  But who’s counting?”  Ennis said with a mischievous grin, jumping back into bed beside his naked lover.  “So, yer feeling hungry for pancakes .. Or .. yer hungry for something else?” he added, noting Jack’s erection beneath the sheet.

“I’m definitely hungry for pancakes.”

“Not what it looks like from here!  Yer hunger seems to be growing every second, cowboy”, Ennis whispered, running his hand leisurely on Jack’s chest.  “Tell you what, I reckon Aunt Jemima won’t mind if them pancakes get cold! “

Jack raised his eyebrows in amusement.  “That a fact?”

“Damn right. C’mere lover! .. And pass me that bottle of maple syrup..”  Ennis said, quickly peeling off his boxers.

Why is it that I get the feeling someone's gonna have a really nice, snowy, cozy time tonight?

Thank you, Milli...I love this thread too. I am so glad it has turned out to be such a success...and I hope we can keep it going for a long, long time. I am so happy that we have given new authors the courage to write, and experienced authors another venue to share their work. And there is room here for everyone to participate.

I would love to come up with some way to publish or preserve the drabbles. I welcome ideas that people might have. Thoughts that come to mind: starting an archive thread here on the fanfic board with just the drabbles and prompts; starting a livejournal for just the drabbles; posting somewhere else (the brokeback phoenix archive??). I am not sure what the best approach is so I welcome ideas from others.

We've been at this for just a month but the creativity that has been expressed is wonderful. I do think preservation is important and I look forward to thoughts folks might have about how to do this.

Hugs,

Leslie

Leslie -

Any kind of archiving sounds good!

I like the LJ idea!
We could start our very own LJ Brokeback Drabblefest community!
Me likes the sound of that ..  :)

Excuse me for sounding stupid, i admit im not the smartest computer user
in the tree.  But do we have a limit on the number of posts we can have here.  Not just let the thread have the opportunity to grow, or is it a time thing.  Or ????  I just dont know why it cant just stay and have as much participation as it gets.. For instance the LS  and TTVOT are over hundreds of pages...

Hey J!

No, definitely, the thread can stay as it is ..  there is nothing wrong with the setup we got going here.
What I was saying was that it'll definitely be great to find a way to archive or publish these drabbles for other Brokies to check out.   :)

This thread can definitely grow to be as big as "Jess' Feed Store" .. I'd love that!
We were just brainstorming for ideas on archiving the entries.
