Red meat on frozen ground: cold approach to Macbeth
LOVE that title, LOVE all those GREAT quotes--Yukon Triumph is right! Yay Meryl!!
Thanks, John! I love that title, too.
What I don't get is why your job is done after opening night?
Are there no more rehearsals/analysing/debriefing after it premiered? Or do you pass on the job to someone else?
After the show opens, there are no rehearsals, unless, God forbid, an understudy has to go on. In that case the Production Stage Manager, who runs the show from backstage, takes over. I emailed her my notes from opening night (they're performing the second show as I write this), so I trust she took care of them. My work--the concept, staging and execution-- is essentially done once the show is up.
I see quirky people
You bet!
Happy birthday, Merly. I'm contrite, discovering that it's been some years since I contributed to this thread. My love and respect never waivered. I'm sorry that my attentiveness did. I'm wishing you a lovely year ahead.
Not a problem, Clarissa! I know you wouldn't quit me.
How wonderful!
I'm so happy to read that it's been such a great experience for you!
Thanks, Jeff, and everybody!
