You learn somerthing new every day - I never knew that was how garlic grew... I guess I though it was a root of some sort.

Didi you have a great time in Alberta?

Sorry about this Kelda. I was just out watering the plants & I thought a the fact that I'd yet to comment on yours ...

People eat mostly garlic cloves - the root, but when the plant is growing the leaves are quite stong tasting and there are certain 'fine dining' recipes that call for garlic seeds. New plants grown from seed take a few years before their root (cloves) are large (numerous?) enough for eating in the way that most folks are use to. My wild cloves never grow very large anyways! - but I do have hunderds of em.

OK - took about 20 pics on day 1 from in front a our first lodging. We were surrounded by mountains on virtually all sides (though I didn't take any a the ones behind the condo). Got up early, wanting to get the sunlight reaching the mountains - was surprised to find that clouds would block some light in a horizontal fashion.

Headlights still turned on on the passing vehicle.

Howdy Sherriff! Glad to see you made it home okay, it was such a pleasure meeting you and hearing your thought on things. You are a great guy. If you ever decide to cross the line, let me know.

You know I never did hear what their names were.

Don't think each peak has an individual name - the three together are simply called the 'Three Sisters'

This pic, a little further to the right (maybe with a bit more of a close up) shows some int'restin detail.

Looking south, to the left of the Three Sisters ... the sun's begining to hit the top of the peaks
