I'll be at Disney World this June for Gay Days.  :D

I'm actually heading right there after the BBQ.  We really do TAKE OVER the Magic Kingdom on Saturday.  It's quite a sight!

The neat thing is there's four other different parks, so if 'families' are offended, they can go to another park for the day.  I'm sure Disney accomodates them (free ticket to the other park).  (And we prefer they go to another park for the day anyway.  LOL.)

That's what it was - Gay Days - that my husband's friend and his family were there for last year.  My husband and I had quite a laugh at how "offended" these boneheads must have been.  I'm sure they were falling all over themselves to get to one of the parks "the gays" weren't at each day.  They are right-wing fundies to the Nth degree.  Ed plays tennis with the guy, and they are nice enough people so long as you never discuss sex(uality), religion, politics, or anything else any deeper than the weather or your kids' schools.  In short, I call them "bullshit friends" because that's all you can do with them.

No more beans!

Nice.  Really.

This reminds me of a story.  (Is there anything that doesn't?  ;))

That "friend" who gave Ed the Bible for Christmas (and gave me soap - apparently to wash the sin off) went with his wife and three kids to Disney for a week last year.  When they got back, Ed asked him how Disney was and he said it turned out it was Gay Pride Week, and so the park was loaded with gays and lesbians.  The implication was he was none too enthused.

I'm sorry, but

(I found myself wishing we'd gone that week, myself.)

I remember you telling us about those neighbors!  Good story, Barb!  Some people.
