One of our residents should volunteer to help coordinate this thread for me. Some folks mentioned to me the other night they'd like more sound snips taken from the movie. I can usually accomodate sounds of one to four seconds in length. If you want a sound added, please help me by giving me the quote and, approximately, what time it appeared in the film (or at least a clear scene idea so I can find it). If I can get a volunteer to create a single reply organizing all of the requests, we can make a list and I'll work through it.

I love the way Ennis says "You probably deserved it" and this appears late in the movie just before the lake scene when Jack is talking about slinking around to see the foreman's wife (or most likely the foreman).

I could certainly think of places to use it in chat!!

THAT is a good question. A question I don't have the time right now to go get the answer for, but here is the url for the chat: http://client4.addonchat.com/sc.php?id=179150. Once in it, down near the bottom left, you will see a little row of buttons. Click once on the button that looks like a musical note, and it will bring up a menu of quote choices.

To tell what they are, it's good to listen to them, because the names don't always give the best clue. In fact, I've been meaning to add that as a task here, for members to suggest improved names (if you think of any) for the sound quotes we already have.

P.S. Though you and I have not officially "met" so far, I've been following the Alberta threads, so have been reading your knowledgable and humorous posts. Hi, I'm Clarissa/Ele.

It isn't clear. I know the emoticon limit is 25, but there doesn't seem to be a specific limit for sounds. I suppose if there is, I'll run into it as I encode and upload the clips.

May I suggest that the end result of any vote be presented in a ranking format, with 1 being the top vote getter and x (whatever number there is) being the least vote getter and I'll encode them in that order and add as many as I can.

I really love these! But, since they're from the story, some of them don't exist as audio files. I'd like to see if I can remedy this at the BBQ. All you guys with Wyoming or Texas accents, get your vocal chords ready!!

We can edit any of the names. I tried to keep them as intuitive as possible because there are so many. But it's very easy to change the "trigger" terms.

Why don't we have folks nominate changes to those phrases which are least intuitive, and then we can coordinate a new master list through adiabatic, who has amazingly mastered the forum software's table command (even I can't figure it out), and then we can publish a new master list and you or I can change the trigger phrases where needed.
