Howdy, Brokies and Tremblayans:

I was just sneaking a peek at TOB on IMDb, and noting that there a few brave souls still there, resolutely keeping the flame alive and posting insightful, probing posts related to the film. I came across one thread in which the OP requested to be guided to well-written fan fiction, and scrolling on down, I found links to two stories that I really loved. They were both written back in December, which seems so long ago now, but offer solid proof that this story was capturing imaginations and hearts from the get-go.

I don't know if these links would be more properly posted on our Fan Fiction board, but I thought not, since they are not my work, but someone else's. At any rate, they are lovely pieces of writing, and I especially cherish the second one, with this heartbreakingly beautiful line, "No-one can see us here"...to read this was to fall in love with our precious Jack all over again. Here are the links:

Wow Scott, thanks for posting those... that one from Jack's point of view made me sob like a baby  :'(

Seriously, I was not expecting that at all.... I haven't wanted to watch the movie for a while because I feel like I've seen it so many times I've almost been desensitized to it (not that I love it any less) but that made me want to watch it.
‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.
