Hm, when you look at the guys in the background, you could think Cowboy Etiquette requires to wear a white hat to rodeos in any case
Oh no, I just had a closer look. One has a black hat - and a denim shirt in a shade of blue that looks familiar to me. Must be Jack.
Well I can't speak for anywhere but Wyoming and Montana but Rodeo-ing is a summertime sporting event in these parts. Nobody sticks around waiting to move stock once the snow starts flying.
well, around here it is based more on temperature or circumstance than date...Most people (that wear cowboy hats) have a 'dress' felt and no matter what color it is, if you are going to a 'dress up' event; wedding, funeral, first parole hearing; you wear your finest!
Yep my Daddy has a beautiful black stetson with a tooled silver and turquoise band for dress, he wore it to my brothers induction into the Rangers, to his Wedding, my college graduation and my Wedding, to all the Baptisms and to my Mother's funeral, but he wears a straw hat in summer, buys a new one ever couple of years and an old brown felt that he's had at least 15 years in winter.
