Can We Get the New People to Say Hi?
Kd5000:
Language barrier
You do read English, right? You don’t have to be an eloquent English writer to post here. There are many foreigners here where English is their second language. And we don’t have grammar or spelling police around. At lease not that I am aware of, otherwise they will be on my a** all the time
Is there such a thing on a msg board called a universal translator. You type in German, press translate and what you have typed becomes ENGLISH. I know, we don't have spellcheck, so a universal translator sounds a bit sci-fi in the msg board world.
Always charmed to meet newcomers.
Welcome to the mountain.

Hi newbies, oldbies, and Eurobies!
To the Eurobies, or rather Globies (sorry about the suffix - I'll stop it): I'm particularly grateful for your contributions, especially from those for whom English is a second language (or third, or fourth...). I so admire those who have tamed foreign tongues -- I've been trying for years to tame German but alas, it's taming me.
Chocolates and flowers to you.
isabelle:
Thanks henrypie - forget about the flowers, but I wouldn't mind a double ration of chocolate!
henrypie:
Them chocolates are hard to pack. Maybe better to eat them all right away.

Hi there! I'm Tom. I posted a few times on here a few weeks ago but haven't been back much since (and that's only because I've been busy developing new things for myself and enjoying all of the ripple effects as a result of this AMAZING masterpiece of a film!!).
My introduction is in here somewhere, but it's been a while. So, hello again, everyone!
And a special hello to my dear friend Isabelle!!! ;)
Well, gotta run, as I'm off to my writing class! Look for me here tomorrow evening (I hope---I may be working on my story, which, yes, is an off-shoot of BBM!!).
Later!
Tom
