That is too cute. I didn't know San Jose had police on horseback. I only saw them when I visited Washington DC.

People have asked me whether we saw any mounties in Canada.

We did, but only in Fort Macleod, putting on a show for the handfull of tourists that had showed up.  :-\

You might have seen more, and under less tourist-y circumstances, had you ventured a bit east into the neighboring province of Saskatchewan, and its capital of Regina. I understand that the Mounties have their official headquarters and/or training camp in that city.
