The Good Shepherd...that's what I think when looking at this image, and gazing upon Jack's (Jake's) gentle, beautiful face. Could this be another suggestion that Jack can be seen as a Jesus figure?

Aww, what a sweet photo! The lamb looks so peaceful and contented (who wouldn't be, in its position?).

I agree with you, Scott, about the Good Shepherd/Christ figure suggestion, but I got into that discussion a long time ago--Jack as the Christ figure who dies for Ennis's redemption--and I'm not sure I want to open that can of, er, beans again.
